I hold a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Physiology-University of Cape Town, Bachelor of Science Medicine Honours in Infectious Diseases, and Immunology-University of Cape Town. I am registered with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Technician specializing in Tuberculosis. I am currently working as a Research Laboratory Technologist in the Gqaleni Research Group at the Africa Health Research Institute and enrolled for my Master of Medical Science in Public Health with the University of KwaZulu Natal. My research focuses on investigating the antiviral and immunomodulation activity of African traditional medicines efficacy in response to SARS-CoV-2 infection using in vitro assays.
