BIOSKETCH
Lecturer and Researcher in the Discipline of Traditional Medicine, Pharmaceutical Scientist by training and holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics (Wits University) and a Master of Medical Sciences in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, cum laude (University of KwaZulu-Natal). Dr Ngema has undertaken research and innovation training at leading international institutions, including Johns Hopkins University – School of Medicine (USA) as a Fulbright scholar, RWTH Aachen University Hospital (Germany) as a visiting scientist under The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS)-DGF fellowship, and University of Cambridge (UK) as a participant in the prestigious IMPULSE programme for Tech Innovators. He has over 20 publications, including 3 book chapters in high-ranking international journals.
