Biography
Dr Malcolm Steinberg is an Associate Professor and Director of Public Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University in Canada. He is also an Honorary Lecturer in the Traditional Medicine Laboratory at the University of Kwazulu-Natal where he is working to support inclusion of traditional health practitioners into the South African health care system, with a key focus on cancer of the cervix. Dr. Steinberg graduated from the Witwatersrand Medical School and achieved postgraduate training in Epidemiology and Occupational Health. He served as the leader of the South African Medical Research Council’s National HIV/AIDS Programme before relocating to Canada in 2004.
