The University of KwaZulu-Natal is pleased to share information about the 3rd Regional African Traditional Medicine Symposium, which will be held on 12–13 October 2026 at the University of Zululand, Richards Bay Campus.

The symposium will bring together academics, researchers, postgraduate students, traditional health practitioners and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, showcase research and strengthen collaboration in African Traditional Medicine, Indigenous Knowledge Systems and related scientific disciplines.

Researchers and postgraduate students are invited to submit abstracts aligned with the symposium themes.

• Abstract submission deadline: 31 August 2026
• Notification of acceptance: 15 September 2026
• Symposium dates: 12–13 October 2026
